The process of transferring can seem overwhelming. There are a lot of things to consider when selecting a transfer institution. Here are some questions you will want to ask yourself when selecting a College/University. (Select your top five questions and bring them to your advising appointment.)

  • Do they offer the degree I am looking for? Do they offer it online or do I need to relocate?
  • Can I have a minor if it's not required?
  • Do I also need to have a minor?
  • Can I have, or do I need, a double major?
  • How will my classes from WITCC transfer?
  • Is there a college-entrance exam required (i.e.  ACT/SAT/GMAT)? Is there an English proficiency test required (i.e. TOEFL)?
  • What GPA is required for the school and my program?
  • How much is tuition and other costs (housing, transportation, books)?
  • What housing options are available (on-campus vs off-campus)?
  • How accessible is parking on campus and how much does it cost to park? Bus route?
  • Are scholarships available for transfer students and how do I apply for them?
  • If I am interested in Greek organizations, are they available on campus? What other student clubs are there?
  • When is a good time to visit campus?
  • What do I need to bring with me to my visit?
