The process of transferring can seem overwhelming. There are a lot of things to consider when selecting a transfer institution. Here are some questions you will want to ask yourself when selecting a College/University. (Select your top five questions and bring them to your advising appointment.)
- Do they offer the degree I am looking for? Do they offer it online or do I need to relocate?
- Can I have a minor if it's not required?
- Do I also need to have a minor?
- Can I have, or do I need, a double major?
- How will my classes from WITCC transfer?
- Is there a college-entrance exam required (i.e. ACT/SAT/GMAT)? Is there an English proficiency test required (i.e. TOEFL)?
- What GPA is required for the school and my program?
- How much is tuition and other costs (housing, transportation, books)?
- What housing options are available (on-campus vs off-campus)?
- How accessible is parking on campus and how much does it cost to park? Bus route?
- Are scholarships available for transfer students and how do I apply for them?
- If I am interested in Greek organizations, are they available on campus? What other student clubs are there?
- When is a good time to visit campus?
- What do I need to bring with me to my visit?
